Enviro Epoxy WB is a 2-Part, non-hazardous water based epoxy system. Enviro Epoxy WB once applied provides excellent protection as a hard wearing, durable surface suitable for commercial, industrial and residential environments.
• Easy 2-coat application
• Anti slip Class X AS NZS 4586:2004
• Adheres to damp concrete
• Non Flammable
• Fast curing
• Chemically resistant
• Very low VOC
• Food production and processing
• Car parks
• Warehouse and garage floors
• Commercial kitchens and laundries
• Plant rooms
• Waste water treatment, dairy, sugar and textile production
• Water treatment and supply
Enviro Epoxy WB is supplied as a pigmented 2 Part water based epoxy coating. Part A: Base, Liquid; Part B: Hardener, Liquid.
• Solids content 48% vol/vol (subject to colour)
• Working time 1.5 hours at 25°C
• Tack free time 45 minutes at 25°C
• Recoat time 2 hours at 25°C
• Hard Dry 24 hours at 25°C
• Full Cure 7 days at 25°C
• Shelf life 12 months
• Mix ratio 1A:3B coloured + clear
The surface must be clean, and free from all loose particles including dust, laitance, grease, coatings and curing membranes. Surfaces may be prepared by grinding, degreasing and captive shotblasting. The aim is to provide a clean profiled substrate.
Primer may be required in certain circumstances. Consult WaterproofingTechnologies for guidance.
If using a colour pack system with Enviro Epoxy WB, add the colour pack to Part A, and mix well using mechanical mixing equipment with suitable mixing paddle attached. Add Part B, liquid hardener to the coloured Part A. Mix until uniform.
Mix only sufficient material as can be applied in one coat due to pot life concerns. Epoxy WB can be applied by brush, roller and airless spray. Apply 2 coats to give a minimum dry film thickness of 250 microns. Allow each coat to cure before applying the second coat. A non slip finish can be achieved by broadcasting selected aggregate into the first layer whilst wet and then overcoating with Enviro Epoxy WB when cured.
Estimating Data (Theoretical)
The consumption of Enviro Epoxy WB will depend upon substrate condition and type. As a guide: One 16 ltr kit of Enviro Epoxy WB will cover approximately 50 – 60m² achieving 125 micron Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
Enviro Epoxy WB is supplied in 8 ltr and 16 ltr kits, proportioned ready for mixing.
Enviro Epoxy WB generally can be recoated after allowing to cure for 2 hours at 25°C. Floors can be open to pedestrian traffic generally 24 hours after curing of the final coat, subject to temperature. Vehicular traffic after 5 days. The coating must be allowed to cure for 5 days at 25°C, before being subjected to chemicals.
Enviro Epoxy WB should be removed from all tools and equipment, prior to hardening with water. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
Enviro Epoxy WB can be stored in its original sealed containers for 12 months in controlled environments.
Enviro Epoxy WB contents are environmentally friendly. Always provide adequate ventilation and wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) during use. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting, have plenty of water or milk. Seek immediate medical advice. Wash off splashes of material with clean water and soap. If irritation occurs seek medical advice.
